HDN Inc. has begun collaborating with ROOTS Inc. to provide digital operational support for clinics offering self-pay medical services using LHub.

The collaboration combines ROOTS’ expertise in clinic management and on-site operational support with HDN’s LINE-connected service, LHub, to help medical institutions introduce and operate self-pay care in a practical way.

Purpose of the collaboration

In self-pay care, simply preparing a service or medication does not create a sustainable operation.

Clinics need to connect multiple operational steps, including patient communication, booking, questionnaires, consultation, payment, and post-visit follow-up, in a way that staff can manage consistently.

Through this collaboration, HDN and ROOTS will help organize these workflows and build practical operating models tailored to each clinic while taking relevant rules and guidelines into account.

Digital patient journeys supported by LHub

LHub is designed to use an official LINE account as the starting point for patient communication and related digital workflows.

Depending on each clinic’s operation, the patient journey can include functions such as:

The objective is not simply to install another system. The design focuses on helping patients move to the next action without confusion while reducing the amount of manual checking required from staff.

Roles of ROOTS and HDN

ROOTS provides support in areas including outsourced clinic administration, introduction of self-pay services, and healthcare digital transformation.

HDN focuses on LHub implementation and operation, together with patient journey design from the digital side.

By combining these capabilities, the two companies aim to go beyond planning a self-pay service and help clinics create workflows that can actually operate in day-to-day practice.

From introduction to stable operation of self-pay care

When a clinic that has traditionally focused on insured care introduces self-pay services, the treatment offering is only one part of the project.

Internal operations, patient communication, booking, questionnaires, payment, and continued follow-up need to be designed as one connected system.

HDN and ROOTS will continue supporting clinics according to their individual circumstances, drawing on their respective areas of expertise to help introduce and establish sustainable self-pay operations.

ROOTS has also announced the collaboration on its official website.
